PALEY CENTER I July - August 2024
Nathalie Cassegrain - CREATIVE DIRECTOR / PRODUCTION DESIGNER
An exhibit created by Nathalie Cassegrain for Warner Bros. Discovery to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous TV series “The West Wing”.
The exhibit aims to immerse visitors in the world of "The West Wing," showcasing its exceptional cast and outstanding writing, while also highlighting its significant social impact.
Our goal is to engage visitors deeply with the subject matter, telling a compelling story that evokes both emotional and intellectual responses. The exhibit is designed to create a sense of progression, discovery, and engagement, guiding visitors on a memorable and meaningful exploration of the series' content.
Mood Board
Integrating traditional and media experiences, we propose to create a rich environment for the exhibit celebrating the 25th anniversary of “The West Wing.” This exhibition aims to provide contemporary viewers with fresh ways of interacting with the renowned series.
The exhibition will feature “script walls” that honor the outstanding screenwriting, and emphasize the density and depth of the writing. Deep shades of blue and red, along with images of cream-colored classical buildings, will be strategically arrayed on the walls to evoke the American flag and the neo-classic architecture of the White House.
To bring the story to life, portraits of the famous actors, mannequins dressed in the show's costumes and a recreation of the press room set will offer a unique photo-op moment.
Images, first-person accounts, and interactive elements will provide a window into the writer’s intellect and imagination, showcasing his collaboration with the cast and crew to bring his vision to life.
Original documents and artifacts will help explore the legacy of the series, its social impact, and its relevance today, encouraging visitors to reflect and take action.
